Every year for G's birthday, his gift to himself is to be in the mountains, peace and quiet and away from any phone signal! (G has a rule that if the phone rings, it must be important so he always answers it, and only if there is no signal is a good excuse not to answer the phone :))
This year we spent it at Lake Nevropolis, about 180 kms north of Athens.

On the third day, G has arranged for me to try Canyoning! This is my first time but it has also been a while since his last climb. We chanced upon the last Canyoning for the season and it was in Ypati, Greece.
We spent 2 nights there waking up to this breathtaking view! It was a bit too quiet at nights, you literally can not hear anything and sometimes your brain is making you believe you are hearing something!

I was worrying a bit because it's winter (ultra cold for me!) and we are going UP the mountain and be INSIDE the waterfalls but to my surprise, I didn't even feel the cold and I was really having lots of fun! It was a perfect getaway! Since we arrived from our cycling trip, we were working on different projects in the house.
