Summer is here so we packed all our camping gear and got ready for the road!
This is the first time that we are bringing anyone with us for such a long trip. This is also Ntak’s first time in a road trip and camping trip: Challenge accepted!

Every year for G's birthday, his gift to himself is to be in the mountains, peace and quiet and away from any phone signal! (G has a rule that if the phone rings, it must be important so he always answers it, and only if there is no signal is a good excuse not to answer the phone :))
This year we spent it at Lake Nevropolis, about 180 kms north of Athens. This is one of George's most favorite islands and that is why he was really determined we went this year. We were supposed to stay about a month here but we have another trip already set (read here about 3000km cycling trip in Europe Starts in Septemper), so for now, we could only stay for 15 days.  Having fun in the way back to the base camp to change canyons We flew early to the neighboring island followed by a 3 hour boat ride, immediately after, we took a car ride until the path to the Springs of Fonias, hiked for a little over an hour and after 12 hours of travelling, finally arrived in our first camping spot! |
