Climbing Tinos - 2022

So excited! This is our first trip for 2022 and this is in a new island for K to visit, Tinos.

We took the boat from Athens, it takes around 4-5 hours to arrive in Tinos. This same boat also goes to Mykonos. 

​When we arrived, there was a big Greek celebration so we also felt warmly welcomed.
Another reason why we came is that most of the Greek climbing community is attending so there was an old monastery that hosted majority of us. The climbing area is where the monastery is, so after waking up, you could go climbing immediately with no travel time needed.

We also went around Tinos to see what this island has to offer. There is abundance in marble in this island, this is why they use marble everywhere even in public places as roads etc. We had the honor to meet a marble sculptor and he even toured us in his studio and an amazing time spent talking to him and about his art and works.

This island also has amazing walking paths and of course, endless amazing view. we also walked the marble path that starts from the top of the mountain to the sea. This was the only path that was there before and how the animals (sheeps, goats, etc) goes from the mountain to the sea and back.
