Exploring Pakse Waterfall Loop

After a month and a half lounging and eating in Philippines, it was time to reunite with my husband and start new adventures exploring new places.

First stop, Pakse –the launching pad for this epic adventure. We ditched the bulky bags, threw essentials in a backpack, and hopped on a rental bike. With the engine purring , we were ready to chase the horizon.

From Pakse, it was a rollercoaster ride through the Bolaven Plateau. Villages straight out of postcards, jungles teeming with life, and waterfalls that seemed to defy gravity. Eevrywhere you look is  a glimpse of Laos' rich culture.

​As I twisted and turned along the roads, I stumbled upon hidden treasures: tucked-away temples, roadside eateries serving up spicy delights, and friendly faces eager to share their stories.
 
But the real magic happened at Tad Fane and Tad Yuang – waterfalls so breathtaking, they stole my words. I lost count of how many times I stopped just to soak it all in, the rush of the falls echoing in my ears.

Evenings were for storytelling, sharing laughs and swapping tales with fellow riders under a sky lit up with stars. It was moments like these that made us realize the true beauty of travel – the connections we make along the way.

Highlight: De Lueb. Amazing people, amazing place and amazing experience. There was not even a road sign to arrive here. and when we arrived, we were even asked how we found the place ​😎

Highlight: Mystic Mountain! Just getting here is a few hours journey and a challenging road. it's worth it!

​​As we looped back to Pakse, we are excited for the next adventure. The Pakse Loop might have been just a slice of Laos, but it had left an indelible mark on our souls.

Closing out our Pakse adventure, we found ourselves on the Laos side of the Mekong River, gazing across at the glowing sunset on the Thailand side.
